EVENT POSTPONED to MAY 10-14 2021

With the COVID-19 virus being declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization, the Canada and Quebec governments have put in place several temporary mesures to limit the propagation including the interdiction to held events and Canada's border closing.  

As the situation is evolving very quickly and unpredictably, the Local Organizing Committee has decided to POSTPONE the event to MAY 10-14 2021.

Registration is closed until August 31, 2020. Abstract submission is re-open until February 1st, 2021.

General information

Registration has been suspended.

The conference planned in June 2020 is POSTPONED to May 10-14 2021.  Please read the Coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQs and our Continuity Plan about abstract and registration status.

Letter of invitation

If you need a letter of invitation to participate to the Conference or to obtain a visitor VISA, please follow these instructions:

  1. Create an account in our Abstract submission and registration system.
    Make sure all information are filled properly as they will appear on the letter.
    You don't need to create another account if you already submitted a contribution.

  3. You will receive the letter within 5 workable days.

Invitation letters will only be issued to:

  • Speakers/presenters (no family relative)
  • Committee members
  • Attendees who have paid their registration fee in full and are not from one of the countries embargoed by the Canada.

Registration payment methods

ONLINE PAYMENT by credit card
When you register online, you can pay by VISA, MasterCard, American Express or using Alipay. You have to provide cardholder name, card number, and expiry date. Credit card information are securely processed through our online partner Stripe. All credit card information is encrypted.

MAIL IN option
You will receiving an email invoice of your registration. Please send a cheque or money order by mail before April 8, 2021 (payable to Canadian Society for Bioengineering) at the address below. Cross-border mail may takes close to three weeks. Registrations received by mail on or before March 20 2021 will qualify for the early registration fee so make sure you send it in a timely manner.

ON-SITE payment
Payment by credit card will be available on-site during the conference for late registrants and for additional options (tours, extra ticket, etc.). On-site payment are at the on-site rate (see fees table above) even if participant already registered without paying. 

 

Registration conditions and policies

Cancellation

Registered participants who are unable to attend the conference will be entitled to a refund of their paid fees minus a processing fee of 20% of the registration amount, provided written notice (by email, letter or fax) is received by the Conference organizers before May 14th, 2021. If the event is cancelled by the organizing committee, a full refund will be made minus the original payment processing fee (about 3%). Cancellation requests must be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. The participation fees are owed upon registration and are payable within 14 days following submission of the registration (but not later than 14 days before the starting day of the event).

Note that cancelling your meeting registration does not cancel your hotel reservation; you must cancel directly with the hotel. All refunds will be made after the Conference.

Liability and Insurance
Participants are advised to make their own personal travel and health insurance arrangements. Neither the Local Organizing Committee nor the Conference Organizers assume any responsibility for damage or injury to persons or property during the congress.

Changes
The Local Organizing Committee is entitled to make changes to the program as deemed necessary.

Payments
Payments are securely processed through our online partner. All credit card information is encrypted. Your registration will normally be confirmed and accepted when your payment will be completed by our processor. Upon reception of this registration form, no verification will be made (by email or by phone) if the cardholder name matches the registrant name.
