Abstract submission

Each abstract is limited to 250 words and have to be in english. An abstract is indicative of the final paper quality. Therefore, authors are urged to prepare a well written, clear and informative abstract describing the work with emphasis on objectives and factual results. An abstract should include key words related to conference topics.

In the submission form, authors are asked to indicate their preference for an oral presentation (15 minutes) or a poster. The scientific committee will try to satisfy each author’s first choice. The Conference will include some free time periods to facilitate exchange and discussion. Authors are encouraged to comply with submission deadlines and to ensure that their paper proposal is relevant to conference topics. Authors will be notified automatically of their submission. A review and decision concerning acceptance should be received by submitters by February 15, 2021.

Once an abstract is accepted, the author is encouraged to prepare a full paper. A maximum of 10 pages is recommended for the paper on standard paper (Letter, 216 mm by 279 mm), including tables and figures.

SUBMISSION IS CLOSED

Paper upload

The full paper template should be used to submit the final paper including an abstract of less than 250 words.  All full papers or abstracts will be archived on a web site for future reference.

Paper template: CIGR2021-papertemplate.docx

Your full paper or final abstract should be uploaded by April 10, 2021 to be included on the website and accessible during the conference. Papers uploaded after this date may not be available at conference time but will be included on our website. As we moved in virtual mode, our submission platform will change. More information to come about where and how to submit your full paper.

Accepted submission will be included in the preliminary program prepared in April 2021.

It is not necessary to submit a short (2-4 pages) or full (up to 15 pages) paper but it is greatly encouraged. If you decided to submit a paper, the abstract or the short/full paper will be hosted on the CSBE/SCGAB Technical Library (https://library.csbe-scgab.ca) as a conference paper. If you decide not to submit a paper, you can improve the final version and submit it to a journal. In both cases, neither CSBE nor CIGR will hold the author's rights. We suggest that you consider submitting your paper to the Canadian Biosystems Engineering Journal.
